The first ever Marvel prose novel, from 1967.

Captain America  The Great Gold Steal by Ted White (1968)

The second and final Marvel prose novel of the 1960s. Interestingly, author Ted White changed Captain America’s origins for this slightly, giving him metal bones that had been implanted in an accidental foreshadowing of Wolverine.
